Possible Mastheads..

I was brainstorming a few ideas od mastheads for my magazine and the main four mastheads that i had thought suited my type of genre which is rock and i liked the most are listed below:

1. SKRINGG
2. HRM
3. NIGHT SHAKERS
4. BIND

these all seem to have the characteristics to be a rock magazine masthead as Kerrang is a very well known and popular magazine company and there masthead is the sound when you hit the guitar so i incorporated there name and also used a sound type masthead then i came up with SKRINGG and to empathize the sound i had two letter G's this sound is almost rebelious and like nails on a chalk board and also a high pitched guitar and as Kerrang was such a big hit i thought my masthead being SKRINGG would help.

The second idea i had was also incorporated from another magazine as NME had simple letters meaning New musical express this name was simple but effective as it was easy to remember and the bold letters made it noticable this was also a small masthead giving there more room for other features on there front page so i had come up with the mastehead HRM which stands for Hardcore Rock Music which is simple to remeber and the letters would be shaped the same way bold and big as this will be eyecatching and as they have great success with there masthead being simplistic looking but effective i would like mines to do the same.

My third choice of masthead was Night shakers this i had come up with myself and had no ideas from other magazines mastheads unlike my other 2 ideas i thought night shakers would be a good rock magazine mast head as people usually like to play rock loud at night as your not really supposed to and it disturbs people thas why i used Night shakers as it comes off as they are shaking the grounds at night when they should be sleeping there being careless and free jus like how people are in the rock faith.

My fourth choice of a masthead was BIND this masthead i wasnt to sure about as it almost doesnt seem to have the rock charateristics but then i thought i should do some inovative , something new so i used it as BIND its almost bringing the reader and rock genre closer hench the word BIND it could appeal to some people in the rock audience as they will be intrested in what BIND has to offer them that will be diffrent and whats so binding abouh the magazine contents and features.

These are my top four masthead ideas as they all seem to have what it takes to be a rock magazine masthead and they havent been done before so its a new i may not use these but i was thinking that my top to choices i will be using as they have been incorporated with me thinking about my two magazines i was analyising.
